I joined the Workington Playgoers club - they own and run the 'Theatre Royal' in Workington, in Wasington Street.

In 2015 the theatre was completely refurbished at a cost of £500,000 and it is now sparkling and gorgeous. Thanks to the Lottery Fund, Monument Trust, WREN, JP Getty Junior Trust, Francis C Scott Charitable Trust and local fundraising.

Very friendly and committed am-dram group - recommended to budding thespians, art/costume people and audiences.
