Thornton Library is an amazing, warm, welcoming place for all. All staff are friendly and helpful. They are a warm hub for anyone to come and feel safe and warm and a hot drink if desired, particularly in the colder months. There are many, many group activities held here, free, varying from kids read and sing, craft and knit and natter to learning computer skills, different languages etc. Any age and ability are accommodated here. Libraries have definitely progressed over the years and this is my favourite.

Only just joined this library as I am doing some course work. Have used the computers and have found the staff very friendly and helpful. However, considering a library is supposed to be somewhere you can go to and work from in peace and quiet, I have found on a few occasions there have been a number of noisy people sitting in groups at the tables by the computers. Having not used a library for a long time I don't know whether times have changed but please can these people consider people like myself when using the library, thankyou.

It's really nice.. went to have the covid jab in and out in minutes..felt a bit ropey afterwards otherwise fine ..when lockdown is over I might go and be a volunteer..
