A lovely place to go and relax on a summers evening. If you have the slightest inclination that you might enjoy sailing, all you have to do is turn up on their yearly open day and talk to some members and ask for advise, you might even be lucky enough that someone will take you out for a jaunt. If you would be interested in joining up to a club like this all you have to do is pop down on a club night, Thursdays, or at the weekend and talk to some of the members. As you go inside the club there's a board of the members that are the ones to ask.

The Gull, a light vessel (a sort of floating lighthouse), is clearly a cherished part of the town's history. Sad so much of it is deteriorating, but wonderful that the light and mast have been given such a proud place at the yacht club - and I really appreciated the information board which provides a full and interesting explanation about the Gull even when the club is closed.
