I was at the pool today watching my child having fun when another child got into difficulty. No one in the pool had spotted this lad underwater. The lifeguards were fantastic. Before anyone had realised what had happened, one lifeguard was already in the pool helping the boy. The others raised the alarm and calmly and effectively evacuated the pool. Other staff appeared almost instantly to support the situation and thankfully the child was safe. It was clearly a well rehearsed plan that was carried out effectively today for a real rescue. Well done to the entire team, not only for successfully helping this child, but for giving the reassurance that everyone is in your safe hands when in the pool.

As a family of 4 we went swimming at Dane’s camp today to have a family fun swim we were in the pool for about an hour when a life guard decided to come see us in the deep end and ask to swim test my 10 year old daughter and she had to do 2 lengths (which if you swim test it’s 1 length not 2) we stated this wasn’t going to happen as she is a confident swimmer who is in stage 6 in trilogy swimming ( their own swimming classes) this obviously upset my daughter 1 life guard agreed and left us. on leaving the pool another member of staff had the audacity to approach us again ( who was very rude and confrontational) stating he wanted to do a test we told him we were leaving as he has ruined the swim for my daughter will never be visiting again!! Also changes rooms were disgusting and run down.

The pool was really clean and changing facilites were really clean and well maintained. Café is not very good because the coffee is very bad and is closed during school holidays. However Costa is only 2 minute walk way. Which is great if your just watching others swim as you can quickly nip to get a coffee and bring it in 🤣.

Phones and enquired about swimming for me and my son, when I arrived I was then told we had 40minutes before the pool closes. This would have been helpful to know when I phoned in do I didn't waste 30minutes driving here to then be told. Wasn't going to waste money for 30minutes of swimming. Disappointed child and I wasn't pleased having wasted my time getting here.

Even when you have membership you have to queuing for 30 min to get access code to sauna. Sunday morning is the worst. Lack of equipment, no boxing bag available. Beaing removed due to Covid. Never reappeared. Covid nor the boxing bag. Sauna filthy not cleaned, staff rude. What better could you ask for..

Why not fit to sauna a lock which can be operated with membership card.? Same as lock on gym entrance.

Space limitation, hmm it means covid shrink your facility. You did not have space limitations before. Boxing bags were there all the time.

Had a good time with the grandchildren, but I do think there were too many people in the pool at one point they definitely need to look at numbers who they have in the pool at one time !! And I wasn't the only parent saying the same thing ?
There must be a number that you can have in at one time !! It felt like the more in the swimming pool, the more money they were taking ! And it takes away the enjoyment in taking your children swimming as your for ever worrying about them trying to find them !!

It's nice local gym and swimming pool. Easy to acces with reasonable size car park. Friendly staff and fairly clean. Membership price is average but in theory it covers pool, gym and even cinema in other branch. Only downside is early closing time across a week and weekends.

Could do with a good clean and redecorate. Sad the cafe isn’t open and hate that it’s cashless. Very sad state to see, loved swimming here as a child and taking my own kids.
