I was pleased to get the invitation to attend the Imaging Centre at Reading. I have been a participant with Biobank since 2011 and was hoping to get the opportunity to take part in the Imaging Study.
All the staff members of the team were friendly, professional, and efficient. The whole process was well organised, and you passed smoothly from one scan or test to the next. The time passed very quickly, but you didn't feel rushed. The staff made you feel welcome and at ease, and you were kept well informed throughout. The scans were interesting but not too uncomfortable or unpleasant. The ear plugs helped to reduce the noise levels. A selection of sandwiches, fruit, biscuits, and drinks were available after the scans had been completed.

Very worthwhile and enjoyable visit. Very welcoming, friendly, helpful and professional. Well organised hardly any waiting between scans, measurements, samples, assessments, quizzes and games. Plenty of hot drinks, fruit, snacks and healthy sandwiches for lunch. Free parking, easy access for all abilities.

Went there as a volunteer for imaging no problems no waiting. MRI Scans and UltraSound 4 in all. Questions by staff questions on computer. You don't get the results as it is for research. About 5 hours.

Easy to get to , helpful and friendly staff and good selection of sandwiches . Yes, its a long day and and the MRI scanners are noisy, but as Biobank members, your visit is valuable and worthwhile.

As part of the Biobank voluntary health research, I spent the afternoon being scanned and MRI. All results are anonymous but available to research bodies who are working on life changing projects.
