Such an amazing experience in a beautiful farm! You can tell the area is very well maintained by all those that work and volunteer here. The animals are loved and look so happy!

We had the pleasure to meet a young volunteer who answered a lot of my eldest daughters questions, he was very informative and you could tell he loves what he does! We also had the loveliest pleasure to meet Stacy! She saw that my children were so excited and offered an animal encounter for only £3 per child! My children had such a lovely experience with the goats and felt so happy and content by the end of it. Stacy gave us heaps of information about the beautiful young goats, you could sense how passionate she is about what she does! As we left, my youngest even started wailing because she didn't want to leave!

It's safe to say we will definitely be back. You can tell the people that work on this farm love what they do, and what better way to show appreciation than visit and donate!

A small farm, but so peaceful, quiet, and relaxing. For my 1.3-year-old, it was great. The entrance is free, and you can donate any sum you wish.

Wonderful Family Experience at Wellgate Farm!

We love visiting Wellgate Farm—it’s truly a well-maintained and welcoming place! The staff here are fantastic, and the farm animals are so friendly. Today was extra special as we had the chance to interact closely with the animals, which made for an unforgettable experience for the kids. A huge thank you to Ruby, who went above and beyond to ensure that the children felt safe and engaged. She was incredibly attentive, and her love for the animals and kids alike was clear to see.

We come to Wellgate Farm regularly, and it’s always a pleasure. The farm is consistently well-kept, and the staff’s dedication shines through in every detail. Highly recommend for a family-friendly day out!

We have just attended and it was absolutely amazing!! It’s a real farm feel, the animals look so content and happy and are so interactive. We paid a small price for the animal encounter with my toddler boy and Simone was absolutely amazing, she handled the animals with care, explained their past and why they are at the farm and we even had a few snuggles with some animals?. There was also another lady (I’m really sorry I didn’t catch your name) but she was lovely, came and asked if we were okay, made sure we could see the sheep’s carefully and also connecting us with the staff for the animal encounter. Thank you❤️. Absolutely lovely farm that needs to be recognised a lot more. The staff were so friendly and absolutely amazing and so informative!! Thank you Wellgate, we will 100% be back❤️❤️

I visited an excellent place recently. There are many animals, including adorable farm cats, a plantation zone, and a hidden area that takes you to a fairy-tale forest with a pond and friendly frogs. There are benches available for having your lunch while nearby kids play on the grass. The staff is friendly and helpful, especially when tending to the animals. There's also an indoor area for kids to practice their drawing skills.

It was a pleasant afternoon visit, and the kids loved being there. It's a treasure trove of beautiful experiences found in the community. If you come by car, there's parking available, and if it's full, don't worry. There's free parking around the roundabout leading onto Whalebone Ln North, just a 3-minute walk away. I will definitely visit again.

Visited the farm today and unfortunately, quite disappointed. It looks quite run down and needs a lot of work. There were hardly any animals. 2 pigs, 2 horses, some geese/ducks, a cat and an abundance of chickens. The sheep and goats were under quarantine so we were told to come back another day. Unfortunately just for sheep and goats, I don't think we will come back for that.
A long journey on 2 buses for disappointment. They have a little play area that looks like it could also have work done. The toilets were covered in cobwebs and I think I counted 14 spiders, which I understand because of wildlife and farm etc but not nice for someone with arachnophobia. I gave 2 stars instead of 1 because there were 2 young lads who were very very nice and explained some things to us and showed us a couple of things which was nice. Personally I wouldn't go back in a hurry.

Sweet little community farm. Small selection of animals. You can buy feed and hand feed the goats. The new born lambs and sheep were gorgeous. The staff are really friendly. I brought my elderly disabled mother here and she managed ok with the paths. There is a disabled toilet.
