I came from York with a baby pigeon named Shelby that my cat had gotten from a nearby nest (though we think magpies may have pushed it from the nest initially).

I rang around so many places who wouldn't accept the bird, until I rang these guys, who called me back within an hour and gave me excellent advice as I wasn't able to come drop her off.

I followed their instructions and sure enough, Shelby got stronger. Today I dropped her off this morning and they gave her some antibiotics and introduced her to the flock of similarly aged pigeons.

They also gave me a code so that I could get updates on her progress!

So impressed with the support offered by this charity. They did everything you could possibly ask of them, all with a cheery smile. Their level of knowledge was as amazing as their professionalism.
Clearly, every penny raised in donations goes straight into providing the best possible care for the animals and advice for anyone who asks.
Today was the first time I had seen the new facilities. A total step change in the Sanctuary's ability to provide top quality care. A local charity highly deserving of our support.

Just adopted two 14wk old lovely kittens. They are in great condition & were well looked after, along with their very young mum. They are settling in very well in their new home. The centre is excellent & looks after many varied animals & birds.

whitby are really stuck up and unhelpful no birds from Merseyside they apparently said ? oh get real Alex for someone who said rspca should always be worked with
Youve refused to become an RSPCA assured centre because you dont agree with there policies ?
Well thats same as me lol ?

Really these charties sitting ok thousands in donations need a reality check

There i feel so much better for getting that off my chest

The lady who answers the phone is lovely ? which is a pity .

Please do NOT take any animal to this place, it is a death trap of cruelty behind the scenes. Do not fall for what they say.
Animals are dying in their own excrement from dehydration in the highest heats of summer in sheds with no ventilation.
Dead animals are left overnight with live animals in small cubicles . How must those poor animals feel?!
Food is left to go mouldy, and seagulls peck at it (when avian flu was around) and still given to animals.
Animals aren’t taken to vets when they should be. There was a pig with entropion who was left UNTREATED! He would have been in agony.
She gets £250k a year in donations and only spends £12k on vet bills!!
The RSPCA refuse to work with this woman.
Her husband is the accountant!!
Please do NOT fall for her lies.
She’d rather rescue stray cats then let them back out to kill wildlife. She does not care for wildlife.
Please do not take any animals to her.

Took a house Martin to them today and I feel extremely happy with the care in which he will receive. Staff were lovely and very knowledgeable. Even took the time to message to inform me of his progress. Brilliant charity which are doing an amazing job
