Lovely, well maintained little rescue for local animals. You can have a drink and a snack in the entrance and then visit the animals. Great activity for small children and adults spending time together. You can also combine the visit to the rescue with a hike in Trent Park. The entrance fee goes to the rescue charity.

Lovely farm with lots of animals including sheep, goats, a pig, ponies and lots of birds. Really friendly staff (owners daughter). So nice to know you’re supporting the care of animals - and not just a commercial farm. It’s also reasonably priced too (£4 per adult), and our 20 month old was free. There’s a play area for kids too and a tea room. Will definitely be back!

A lovely place, lots of animals and you can pet them and see them around the park. Not pricey at all for the experience. There's a children playground area as well and the cafe is nice and cute with outside tables. No toilet however, need to use the toilets at the park entrance.

Nice little farm. Not very busy. Little one enjoyed the playing area more. No toilets on sight you need to go all the way back to the main entrance and than to the hockey centre to use their toilets. Free Parking available.

Lovely walk through sanctuary for a nice afternoon to see some local animals, especially interesting for non-England natives to learn about the fauna of the area. A great community run operation that absolutely deserves and needs the support to continue this work for these wonderful animals. Please visit and get a coffee to support this mission

Went on a cold misty/ wet day but was a wonderful experience nonetheless! Got to see a bunch of wildlife up-close and also got to see the ferrets which are so cute 🙂 Well worth the £4.50 each, such an amazing hidden gem.

It’s a rescue centre for unwanted/abandoned animals. I had a chat with the staff and some of the stories are horrific as usual but where they are now is much better - the animals physically and mentally look good and happy. Some of the animals like human attention (what I experienced) including the two goats, smaller deer, two horses and the parakeets and cockatiels. Just having a chat with them and interacting is very helpful for their mental well-being.
They also have turtles, sheep, a squirrel, pig, rabbits and ferrets.
Bird wise they have two exotic species - ring necked parakeets and cockatiels so don’t expect any large cockatoos, macaws, etc. It’s more so hunting birds like owls (numerous species) and also a stork. There are also chickens, geese, ducks, budgies, pigeons and smaller birds.
The animals are cared for and are now in an environment that isn’t bad anymore (the two horses Red and Dusty had terrible life conditions before). They have drinks and snacks and there is no toilet on site but there is one at the entrance of Trent park - this is a charity so money is better spent on the welfare of the animals rather than creating human infrastructure (my opinion).

Nice little animal park with a small play area. Decent prices. Parking in Trent Park with a 1/2 mile walk to farm.
The farm has a variety of wildlife from sheep to herons. After a walk through the woods, it's a nice little wildlife center to stop off at
