My experience of Winchcombe Place is as Care UK colleague. I visited earlier this week to shadow the lifestyle lead. I was warmly welcomed from the minute I walked through the door by Dawn on the desk. The home felt calm and happy. The interactions I witnessed between members of the care/lifestyle team and the residents were respectful, gentle, and positive. The lifestyle team work hard to get to know the residents and provide interesting and thoughtful activities for them through the day, as well as caring for their immediate needs by providing support during mealtimes. It was a really lovely place to spend the day. I can’t wait to visit again soon.

My mother has been a resident at Winchcombe care home for nearly 4 years now, and within 3 days mum smiled and said is this my forever home ? How can I sum up this extraordinary care home in a few words? Family/ homely/ caring/empathy/outstanding! Residents are treated with dignity, and alternative choices are given if the menu choices don’t suite. There’s a variety of activities each day both mornings/ afternoons and some early evenings. The management, receptionists-office staff all engage with the residents as do the cleaning and laundry staff ! What a refreshing inclusive environment to be a part of. As for the team leaders and the carers? They can have extremely trying time ( certainly with my mum!) but they are happy and smiley, which makes the residents experience a happy home from home.

Attended the motorbike event last weekend, it was a fabulous event. Well run by all organisers. All staff that attended the event showed so much care to all the residents of the care home. You could see on the residents faces how much they enjoyed it and really lightened up there day. All staff was so caring and kind. I’m definitely going to look into sending my nan here who will need care soon. Absolutely fabulous!

I visited Winchcombe Place with my parents for the recent local biker group meet supporting Dementia UK fundraiser event and we were all very impressed with the home and all of the services provided for the residents. We were left with such a positive impression and we all thought it was such a lovely place, with so many friendly staff and a lovely Deputy Manager who took the time to show us around and cement our positive impression. Thank you

I first visited winchcombe place care home last year and I didn't have a good experience. However I went back to visit again last week and I can honestly say what a massive turn around. The atmosphere is pleasant, you get a warm welcome, the home is clean and I would happy to visit again.

Our family made a recent visit with my 94 year old mother, Vicky and her team made all of so welcome such a nice care home my mum loved the cakes and coffee! thankyou all at Winchcombe
