Having reported fly tipping several times, one time after finding dumped asbestos I was told the land wasn't theirs (fobbed off) but once I got a local MP involved they admitted it was their land but after several emails would not confirm this to me the reporter, they cleared the land quickly after the MP got involved though. My neighbour reported a skip blocking access to five garages same location, WBC said they can't do anything, but it's on there land! Then I reported a ton of soil tipped on their land again same area, I offered to give them a statement but they made it very clear they would have to give my details to the offender, in other words they clearly do not want to prosecute anyone. They came out and took away a set of drawers dumped but left the ton of soil. Still no reply to my email asking why they can't protect the informant.
They are useless.

Hello Wyre Council is there anyone there, are you listening What a shambles.

Guilty as charged, I received a fixed penalty charge of £100 for not having my dog on a lead (I forgot the lead on our rush to get out). However, I wanted to raise a complaint on how I was treated being followed to my home by two men in a Wyre Council van, their approach and manner was despicable. I was photographed and felt extremely intimidated by their action.

The next day I went to Civic Centre to raise a complaint; I was told at reception that all complaints should be sent in writing. I was given the incorrect contact details, I phoned the number given and was told that they no longer deal with Wyre Council and haven’t for the last 3 months. I again phoned back Wyre Council and was then given another number & email. Tried the number several times which went to voice mail, I left a couple of messages and emails. When I was eventually called back they had not read the thread of emails I had sent. I just felt I was wasting my time.
Next morning 9am I phoned Wyre Council again to pay the fine, but in disbelief I was told there was no one there to take my payment and that they would call me back. At 11:30am I received that call from a lady who was happy to take my money.

You don't deserve the 1 star, but unfortunately I have no choice.

Well what can you say about this council apart from diabolical. Rung them this morning regarding a vehicle dumped outside our house with no road tax. Her that I spoke to wasn't in the slightest bit interested told me there was nothing that they could do because it had MOT was more bothered about pushing me on to Lancashire county council. Obviously drastically overpaid and underworked

Finally I was helped by a young lady over the phone regarding council tax. I honestly don't know if you have ever had a problem regarding payment of council tax but my experience has been rather brutal. I unashamedly put down for all to read That I was badly injured in 2011 which left me partially brain damaged. Life is not always going to treat you fairly and we all have our challenges I put this down as an unfortunate accident but in no means use it to justify irresponsibility. My wife and I separated in January of this year and I then had to start paying the bills. I am not the best at this but through necessity have had to improve. My experience regarding council tax has put a lot of anxiety on me. I in all honesty hold up my hand and admit that i did not fully understand what was required and as mentioned above, a young lady calmed me down and explained where i had gone wrong. I state quite openly that I have been resident at my address for approximately 4 years and so far, This year I have had 2 summons for non payment of council tax. I have paid my council tax but not on the dates specified. I really do struggle, but I have paid and have the receipts from the post office to prove this. On querying the 2nd summons I was told that I owed £124. It turns out that amount owed is half as I had made another payment I asked why was i not reminded as I had previously explained difficulty which resulted in a cancellation of "summons costs of £72.50" on the first problem. I was told that a reminder had been sent out. I explained that as with the first summons I had most definitely not received a reminder. I never received a reminder for the 2nd summons either. It is conveniently put into the paperwork of summons for non payment That saying/stating that no reminders were received is not accepted as a means of defence. Yet the summons arrives, BUT no reminder .. I know and understand the responsibility of payment, but in cases of genuine confusion and disability surely there must be some compassion. .

Absolutely seagull people to deal with, no compassion or human kindness in any members of staff working there. Many problems from noisy neighbours to missed rubbish collections. They never take any responsibility discriminate against you if you really insist on them supporting you and always make the customer have to find other solutions. Absolutely awful council and I work alongside many in my professional role.
