I gave Yeldall Manor 5 stars because they literally saved my life. It was one of the hardest things I ever did but by far one of the most worthwhile things also.

My addiction had ripped me to pieces and the staff and supporters were amazing because they started me on my journey of recovery and helped me believe that a life totally free of alcohol and drugs was possible.

The bottom line is this I walked in the door of Yeldall in march 2019 and nearly 3 years later I haven't touched a drink or a drug since. I'm back in full time employment, living in my own flat with all restored relationships with my family and friends. That's a miracle.

To anyone out there considering reaching out for help give Yeldall a go. You have to really want Recovery and no one can do it for you but Yeldall Manor will certainly give you a solid foundation and skills to start you on your journey. Just reach out and call them you never know it could be one of the best things you ever do for yourself. It was for me.

I went to yeldall in 2018 and basically didn't listen to what was recommended. I lived on self will and did things to pls others. I was told it won't work Leon. As a addict I thought I knew best. People where right. I fell back into addiction and by the grace of God yeldall manor had me back. This time I did listen to people but most of all God and handed my self will over. My life today is completely different. I have my son in my life with the help of yeldall. I'm clean and working. I don't hate myself. I'm open and honest. I care about others and myself. I'm present in people's lives today all through the help of yeldall manor. I take offence to people moaning about money and working. People wasn't moaning when they were stealing for drink or drugs and on benefits before yeldall were they. We as people are quick to blame others. Trust me I know. My little bit said. Yeldall and god give hope and a chance of a new life. That's what I've been given and I know loads that have gone through the beautiful doors of yeldall have been given to. God bless yeldall manor.

I am giving Yeldall 5 stars because they gave me my son back.
10 years of trouble, debts, lies, stealing anything to get his fix. Treading on eggshells to avoid an explosive row, worrying if he's getting beaten up or stabbed when out.
Contacting rehab places asking for help for free and getting the answer no. Until I contacted Yeldall. Everything yeldall did was brilliant, communication, support for me and his fiance, the programme that was set up. Caring and supporting my 22 year old was worth it's weight in gold.
My son is back to normality which means my life is back to normality. We were at breaking point....thankyou so much to every single person at Yeldall, I give thanks to Jesus for giving us renewed life through you guys Amen

This was my 1st go at rehab after using substances for over 27years so I can’t compare it to any other treatment centre but Yeldall Manor helped me turn my life around! It’s a beautiful place with beautiful people (residents and staff) set in beautiful grounds away from any large town which was exactly what I needed to start my recovery journey! Yes it’s a Christian rehab but it’s the residents choice if they choose to embrace Christianity, I’m not a Christian and at no point was I forced to be a Christian or treated any different because I didn’t embrace Christianity, just be respectful of those that do!! It’s not a holiday camp and it’s hard work working on yourself but in the end it’s well worth it! Today I’m over 2years and 3months clean! šŸ™šŸ»

Yeldall Manor is place where men can regain the ability to rebuild their lives from a place of clean living and stability. The work programme is perfect in as much as it conditions men to adhere to a work principle devoid of personal gain. It is really hard work at times and for those men that use this element whole heartedly its a means to get fit, learn new skills, have fun and rebuild self esteem. Plus the comeradery among the men and the volunteers is crucial to develop building relationships that don't involve drink or drugs.
The chit system teaches the residents about taking personal responsibility, it encourages environmental and self mastery with a helpful, tow the line approach. Simply follow the rules and lifes easy, don't and your privileges are revoked. Not harshly, realistically. In the real world consequences for not looking after your self and your responsibilities have much, much more severe consequences such as don't pay your rent, end up homeless. Early bed or kitchen duties are a piece of cake compared to some of the situations residents have ended up in.
The whole point of going to Yeldall is to learn this stuff.
As for the money, give an addict access to cash, guess what they do? The slow increase in weekly budgets is exactly that, a budget. It also protects residents from relapsing when they feel flush. Too many men have left the programme over a few hundred quid and not survived.
The place is a God send, the staff, supporters and volunteers are a God send, the programme a God send, and the Christian element is the key to a peaceful life, a full restoration, healing and inner forgiveness that I believe you would be lucky to find anywhere else. Attendnce at church is not forced however attendance is expected, (a tow the line part of the programme) and if connecting with a higher power is unthinkable, then in my opinion you perhaps ain't ready to be in recovery/start a programme.

Yeldall is wonderful. It's not about how much it costs, its always been about helping promote healthy change, changing outcomes and showing love to the men that enter its doors. What happens to you when your there depends mainly on how much you want your freedom back.

I would definitely give this place 5 stars. Food is amazing, although buffet breakfast could be a bit more substantial on a Saturday. Might be an idea to offer English and continental breakfast options! Evening entertainment is exceptional, we were blown away by the ABBA medley!! Room service could be better and the pool does need a clean but on the whole a great experience!! One of the complex managers named Sue was really helpful Andy always polite. Great job all round

I have seen miracles just happen at Yeldall Manor. I Have seen broken hearts become brand new, And souls become whole again.

In my opinion it is one of the best rehabs in the country. The way the programe is set out, lenth of time and the different phases. It just works. My whole thinking changed there and I found myself again. I learned a new life in recovery. Highly recommend if you are looking to relocate and start over. Reading area has a great recovery network , and great recovery meetings

Staff there have kind hearts. And they are not in the job for the money. They generally want to save lives.

I am not religious. I belive in spituality and have a God of my understanding (higher power) they was fine with this and nothing was pushed onto me. My counsellor taught me to follow my heart and to do what works for me. And that's exactly what I did 😃

I lost everything to addiction. I have got everything back i lost and more. I now help run an AA meeting in Reading. I am training to be a tree surgeon. I have both my kids back in my life. I feel happiness today. And I found the person i am meant to be 😃

Yeldall Manor saved my life.
