We loved our stay at Hostel @ Hawes (YHA). Dave is incredibly welcoming and goes the extra mile to help you feel at home. We stayed while walking the Pennine Way (grateful for a chance to wash our clothes!) and had a restful night sleep, hot shower and 10/10 cooked breakfast in the morning. The place is clean, well looked after and we made a cosy home cooked meal in the kitchen and relax in the common room with considerate other guests. Dave even gave us a lift to Garsdale station in the morning which we were incredibly grateful for.

Couldn’t have been made more welcome. A friendly cozy relaxing place to stay with somewhere for our bikes to sleep safely too. Beds comfy and room spotless. Choice of beers very tasty. Self catering kitchen big and well stocked with all you needed.

We stayed at YHA Hawes for new year and it was amazing. The facilities are perfect for a large group with loads of kids. Plenty of space for everyone and the kitchen is perfect for cooking in large quantities. We'll definitely be back, maybe in the summer so we can explire the village.

From the minute we arrived at YHA Hawes, our group of 6 were welcomed by Eric who really did give us a warm and friendly welcome. We had cycled to Hawes and so made use of the bike storage facilities at the YHA too. Our party had 2 en-suite bunk rooms and one double which had shared bathroom facilities. Our rooms were spotlessly clean and the en-suite showers were very new and exactly what we wanted after a long day cycling. We took a recommendation from Eric to have dinner at The Crown pub, just down the road. Food & service were great and again, the staff there were very helpful and friendly.|We had breakfast at the hostel and it was superb. 5 of us had a full English breakfast which was plentiful and delicious. Toast, cereal, tea & coffee were also available. I had a great continental breakfast which included a croissant, a small pain au chocolat & a brioche bun. I also had a small serving of fresh fruit and yoghurt along with some porridge. Well worth the £11 and it set us up for our 50 mile cycle home.|As the weather was poor, we asked if we could stay a little longer in the common room after we checked out. It wasn’t a problem. This place really represents great value. All the staff who we encountered were so helpful. We all had a great stay and would return again without hesitation. It was actually my third visit.
