Far from the commercialism of Lands End itself, this hostel tucked away at the end of a (very narrow) country lane gave us a sea view from our front door and a kitchen, lounge, toilet snd shower just 20 steps away. Fantastic as a single parent to have all amenities so close together and also to have the opportunity to talk to other adults staying there whilst cooking. This hostel is a great place to hang out, whether at the tent, at the outside tables provided or in the lounge or dining areas inside. Staff were so helpful and welcoming with various situations that arose and even made it possible for us to extend our stay. Our favourite discoveries nearby were the outside Jubilee swimming pool in Penzance and the glorious Sennen beach where you can also get the best fish and chips. What a gem!

Lovely hostel, 20 mins walk from St Just, with a view of the sea. Fab location for watching the sunset & 5 mins walk to the SW costal path. Friendly helpful staff. This hostel doesn't serve evening meals, but there is a good communal kitchen & dining area, plus a garden with picnic tables & sea view. We also ate at the Kings Arms in St Just. one evening & the food there was really excellent! We had a private family room (double with single bunk). It was small & basic (& the mattresses were a bit thin, which made the beds a bit hard), but really clean, great value & lovely view of the sea. We really enjoyed our stay & would definitely book this hostel again.

Staff were helpful and friendly, special mention to Nick who was up for a chat and went out of his way to be friendly during our stay. We stayed in a three bed room which was on the small side but was clean and tidy and met our needs fine. Self catering facilities met our needs and the hostel was well equipped for a relaxing stay. Showers were hot and we never needed to wait to use them. Hostel has beautiful views and stunning sunsets. Also a great little cove about a ten minute walk away which is well worth a walk to. Hostel is well placed for exploring the far end of Cornwall. Sennen Cove and Porthcurno are our favorite beaches in the near vicinity.|This is our second stay and we will stay again.

even though we didn't have a booking we got a very warm welcome from the woman at the reception. we also extended our stay for one night which was no problem and we felt very much at home all three days. the young woman was always there and took great care of everyone and when we had questions or request was always more than happy to help.|it's such a beautiful spot for camping and we would go there any time again.

We absolutely adored this hostel. The location itself is stunning and the hostel lovely and cosy with beautiful grounds. We stayed in one of the |wooden pods in the garden. The hostel though was made by the friendliness of the very helpful and welcoming staff who were brilliant. Great yha breakfast as usual and good self catering facilities. We were very sad to leave and will definitely be back. Piccies are from hostel grounds and lounge window down the valley towards the sea.

Having stayed at this hostel twice before and loved it, we were very disappointed to have the worst experience we've had with YHA. They have put very young and inexperienced people in charge who clock-off at 8.30pm, leaving nobody on site and guests to field any situation arising themselves. Nobody could be reached by phone, and we were all placed in stressful and difficult situations as a result. ||While the staff can quote health and safety regulations at guests, upsetting each party in turn, they do not seem able to provide clean tea towels, toilet paper, or clean to a reasonable standard. They also cannot use the catering kitchen, which means the tiny self-catering kitchen is oversubscribed or guests must drive to buy food (nothing nearby after 5pm).||If we had known the YHA's new plan for this demanding site was to pull the door to at 8.30pm and hope for the best we wouldn't have gone there again, and we urge you not to as well.

Just a couple of miles out of St Just down a narrow dead end road, this is an ideal hostel for a group of up to twenty - with more it would be rather cramped. Very clean & warm, comfortable beds, and the kitchen facilities were good. Even wifi & mobile signal! Very good views down the cot valley

A beautiful hostel in a rural location. Small but well equipped. We stayed in one of the new camping pods with the family. Despite being October and a bit blustery, the pod was warm (too warm at times) as they have underfloor heating! The toilets and showers were really clean and have been recently refurbished too. The hostel was full when we visited but the staff managed this incredibly well. The walks in the area are stunning and the views from the pod were stunning. We will definitely re-visit.
