I have heard lots of the good work that the staff at the YMCA do to help support their residents. Although it doesnโ€™t always work out the way Iโ€™m sure staff would like, this is through no fault of their own, and is in no way a reflection of the amazing work they do in regards to their resettlement program and the support they offer in regards to living and simply being a shoulder to lean on.

I actually don't rate it one star but there you go. They should not call themselves a Christian Association as they do not practice Christan help. My grandson was evicted with only 4 hours notice!!! for breaking a window which he offered to pay for. There have been holes punched into doors and walls in most of the flats and I believe in most cases, eviction was not enforced. How they can expect a youngster to find a safe place to live and empty a flat in less than 4 hours notice I find unbelievable.

Disgusting treatment towards residents. The staff say they are always there for you and wont let you get bullied by other people but really they are nothing but two faced. I was so lucky to escape this place. Please for the love of god, nobody enter that place. The staff treat you like dirt, so unprofessional. The residents deserve so much better and thats the truth.

I would rate this place one star the staff don't want to know anything unless it effects them and are normally rude or blunt. I had previously been in st George's and the staff didn't understand my mental health and why I suppressing my mental health using illegal drugs that other residents were not reprimanded for. If you actually need help or a supported accommodation I recommend you go somewhere else the street is warmer than the staff or attitude here

I was living here when I left home, when my Granddad died I couldn't cope with going to college and I ended up getting kicked off of my course, I was not at college for 3 months and in those 3 months NONE of the staff mentioned to me I had to pay council tax, I was homeless and not receiving any letters due to not having an address, the housing benefits were not cancelled by the YMCA and the debt that conspired from this was bought by a debt collector group and I had up to ยฃ8,500 in debt which I had to pay off out of my own money as the YMCA didn't inform me about what I needed to pay and weren't able to support me. If you move here as a young adult, make sure that you ask about every letter you get and make sure you keep every single one in a folder because it can come back to haunt you.

Disgusting behaivour to residents, my son was thrown out with no where to go!
He has mental health issues and non of this was taken into consideration.
I hope one day the Staff and Manager Anthony are treated with the same consideration and compassion!
When they need help!!
