HORRIBLE PLACE, the staff are all corrupt. Initially on your interview they literally sell you dreams saying that 2 years is the maximum stay and that if they can see that your completely independent after a year and a bit then they refer you back to the council and tell them they cant offer you any more support and request the council to move you into your 1 bedroom flat. It's a signed contract it also says your allowed in and out whenever you like, it also says that the max age range is between 18 to 35. I've been living there for 3 years nobodies moved me or let me know as to what going on, they house member of the elderly around 60 year old men are currently living here, always agency staff on shift not got a clue and dont let you in and out whenever you like, refuse to open doors for you. Some staff namely the new ones refuse to open the room doors during the day as they dont want to move was her words... very noisy neighbours if you reach out to management about any issues you have they dont even reply to you. They scroung around £1600 a month of the council per person fooling them that its supported living but they offer no support what so ever, even my allocated key worker left last year and they didn't give me a new one so that's far from supported living. If you ever ask staff anything they get abusive and threaten to call the police on you but never do it's gotten so bad that I've had to start video recording it, their hallways completely stink of urine it's really bad, the cleaners do a terrible job. After falsely scrounging all of that money of the council through residents housing benefits, they still charge residence to live here and you have to be on UC to live there and they absolutely chase and pester the residents for money and they keep extending the rates, they charge £120 a month extra direct from the residence pocket. Average resident would get around £300 a month in UC, YMCA expect £120 of that and leave the resident to eat and smoke of £180 a month in this crisis it's horrible and if you dont pay them then they threaten you with warnings. Lived there 3 years now and I didn't get a single warning then I went to the council myself directly and complaint to them about all of my issues then they advised me to complain directly to the YMCA, I done so and in return they've issued me with an eviction notice for in 1 and a half months time on my exact birthday! Just waiting for council to rehouse me now, and I asked staff what will happen to me after eviction and now in the end they've turned around and said they dont know and they dont deal with that stuff, they dont work in the council, they work in the YMCA. Be careful if you want to live here they will sell you dreams as so you put pen to paper on your side of the contract to sign and you will come in normally fine and end up with mental health issues by the time you leave!!

Absolutely idiotic place, looks like a prison, the day staff are aunts obsessed with idiotic rules that a normal person would be ashamed of..... you can not about anything, for guests require £3 for each visit, but no more than 3 visits per week!)))) guest can not stay in the "room" of the one who invited, if the invitee wants to go out, for example in the shop, and other prison prohibitions. On whom it is designed - it is impossible to understand, even funnier to observe the thought process of those who invented this idiocy ... the film "idiocracy" is quite realised in our world, I'm not even touching on the cost of this "pleasure"... the state pays £1200 per month for each "tenant" (rather a prisoner), while the market value of these "apartments" is at most £600-700,yu... someone is making good money!)))))))
