Yesterday, Saturday 11th Jan I contacted this organisation asking for help re a Swan Cygnet trapped in the ice at Ulley Reservoir. No answer so left a message. All I got was a very protracted text, translated basically saying tough leave the poor thing to die. Similar responses from RSPCA and RSPB. So much for the conservation of a protected species. Absolute disgrace left me feeling disgusted. Eventually Fire Service attended and freed it from the ice in the lake and it was reunited with its family..

We had our resident Swan Sidney get a fishing hook caught in his beak. Yorkshire Swan Rescue came straight out and got the hook dislodged. A very happy Sidney again. Thank you so much. Such a fab rescue centre for Swans.

I left a voice mail about an injured kestrel, Dan got back to me within 5 minutes. I was there within 30 with the bird. Thank you Dan for caring for the wildlife. The work you do is fantastic.

Volunteers acted promptly when I reported an injured swan. The team were knowledgeable and friendly. I was worried about wasting their valuable time but they reassured me that I had done the correct thing in contacting them. They deserve a medal.

Wonderful service. Rescued a pidgeon in my village who appeared to have been hit by a vehicle and had a broken wing. Took it home for the night and spoke to Dan at the Rescue this morning. Met up with him later and handed the injured bird over. What a wonderful charity. I shall of course make a donation as soon as I have the BACs detail.
