What a beautiful place to visit. We loved wandering around the grounds, having a peek into this incredible artists life. I loved the little shed close to the house, set up with his chair and surrounded by paper and pencils, you could just imagine him sitting there creating.
The sculptures are quite extraordinary, placed randomly throughout the grounds.
The guides in each of the studios were really helpful and knowledgeable.
Lovely well stocked shop with some really nice momentoes to purchase and a cafe for a drink and a snack.
We had a lovely afternoon enjoying the autumn sunshine, a really nice place to visit.

I have known about this place since I was a teenager but took 40 years to visit it. It’s a thoughtfully arranged collection of about 25 sculptures. You can get up close to them and really see them because they are not stuck behind a roped off area. My strong recommendation would be to show up exactly at opening time to be able to see inside the house and learn more about it. House tickets are very limited in number sell out fast. In the 45 minute house tour you will gain a lot of insight on Henry Moore. Take the walk out into the sheep fields to see the 2 large sculptures set at the greatest distance from the visitor center. Bring a picnic to enjoy or have a very reasonably priced cream tea.

Wonderful garden with beautiful sculptures. Love the fact that the tickets give you access for one year as it’ll be nice to visit the garden during the different seasons (opening times permitting).

Cafè is reasonably priced with great selection of cakes. Didn’t look at the menu for savoury items but what I saw being delivered to other tables looked great.

Staff in cafe and the various studios were very friendly and engaging.

Very easy to spend a few hours here without realising that time has gone so quickly. Also wonderful to be able to see the art from all angles.

Will definitely be back.

Good walking shoes are a must particularly in damp or wet weather. Amazing works of art. The staff were very polite, friendly and knowledgeable. I just wish it had been warmer. The cafe was a welcome cuppa to warm us up.

It’s a perfect place for a solo trip with a book, or with friends for a picnic 🧺
You can cycle there, from Ware/St. Margaret, takes 20-30mins and it’s a lovely cycle.
You can also hike from Ware/St. Margaret, 6mikes each way around 2h and 30mins.

Always a lovely place to visit. My young grandsons enjoyed exploring the park and the sculptures. The staff are very knowledgeable and were able to answer questions from an inquisitive four year old! The sculptures are enhanced by the scenery and so much better viewed in the landscape that inspired them. The cake in the cafe was delicious. I will be visiting there again soon.

A wonderful visit here yesterday. A delicious lunch in the Rosey Lee Cafe followed by a beautiful walk around the sculpture gardens, various studios and the amazing Tapestry Barn. It was a very hot day but there are plenty of benches and shaded areas. The staff were all very knowledgeable and extremely pleasant which made the visit all the more enjoyable. Ned gave us a great tour of Hoglands, the Moore family home and really brought everything to life.
