Wonderful place! Gorgeous grounds. Run by volunteers who are very friendly and helpful. We were there on a yoga retreat and it was a perfect venue!

We had a lovely few days 23 of us in this lovely house..comfortable tho as they said needs some updating..Great location and peaceful..lovely big meeting roo.s and one good for dancing!

A haven of tranquility yet conveniently situated midway between Sheffield and Chesterfield. A large well worn but lovingly maintained property in extensive grounds where nature surrounds you and the on site hosts are on call but otherwise unseen and respectful of your space.
An eclectic mix of dormitory style rooms, en suite rooms and camping grounds with compost toilets and showering facilities.
Weekends are usually fully booked well in advance so apart from the odd cancellation a midweek stay may be the only possibility if you're planning a retreat of any kind.
There's plenty of parking, away from the property, and a fully equipped commercial standard kitchen.
A true hidden gem that I was extremely fortunate to not only discover but also thoroughly enjoy

Lovely building and grounds, shame about the lack of maintenance - lots of evidence of damp issues (probably largely due to damaged leadwork and downpipes rusted through), but at least it finally looks like there's some work being done to restore the place!
